The chief is also the one of Ouanache.
The rise of Ouanache, which is at 2 km from the main road, offers a panoramic landscape on the sea, from Tiouandé to the top of the mountain of the Old-Touho.
In the heart of the mountains, the inhabitants of Ouanache and Téganpaïk wake up early in the morning to cultivate their plantation on a vast fertile extent. The river runs in the middle of the dwellings and then thrown itself in the mangrove.
People live from crops, bovines breeding and bee-keeping.
Just before the rise of the collar, you will find Maïna on the right side. It is an old leper-house. In the Thirties, 70 to 80 patients used to lived there. Today, some families are still settled there.
