At 29 kilometers of the villageTiwande is the last tribe in the north of Touho, separated from Hienghène by the river of Tipindjé. Tiouandé offers a spectacle of any beauty with an immense cliff. This tribe opens itself to tourism and a lot of efforts are provided for the reception.
An association of traditional dugouts had been created to make live again the tradition. It propose demonstration and explanation of the construction of the dugout from the start to the end, end also woodcarving and stone soap. Possibility to restore on the spot.
Stroll in dugout in the valley of Tipindjé are proposed with a guide.
Tiwande gathers many houses bordering the road. Its inhabitants live from crop and market-gardening.
Orchises of all varieties will be also proposed to you in this tribe, just after the large bridge of Tiouandé.
